A Morning at Selby Gardens

March 28, 2016

Last week, my mom came to visit–as has become tradition when she’s on spring break; she’s a school administrator–and we spent a morning at beautiful Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. Selby is gorgeous any time of the year, thanks to its waterfront location and huge variety of orchids and plants, but this year marks its 40th anniversary, and to celebrate, the gardens put on a stunning orchid show that ran from Valentine’s Day through last week.

My parents used to have a greenhouse in their backyard where they kept orchids, and my mom is always looking for an excuse to buy another one, so I knew she’d love the show–but I don’t think either of us were prepared for how truly beautiful it would be. Here are some of my favorite snaps from our morning. How amazing are these flowers?!
