A few weeks ago, we house-sat for some friends and discovered that they’d left us a sweet thank-you gift in their fridge: A bottle of rosé, two chilled wineglasses and a note instructing us to enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine. I’d never been a rosé drinker, but this bottle totally converted me (and I’m still kicking myself for not writing down the brand–it was so good). Rosé all the way!
Anyway, I was tickled when I came across White Girl Rosé, with its cheeky description and adorable packaging. (R. often jokes that I like things that are “white”–i.e., things that are particularly trendy with people in my demographic, like avocado toast and Toyota Priuses–and says that this wine is perfect for me.)
White Girl Rosé is the brainchild of comedians Josh Ostrovsky and Babe Walker, and I laughed out loud when I read why they created it: “Someone had to create a rosé that was free range, macrobiotic, fair trade, grass fed, conflict free, cage free, low carb, gluten-free, delicious, and most of all, SO US,” they write on their site. “You’re welcome.” Now if only I could get my hands on a bottle in Sarasota…
Are you a rosé drinker? What’s your favorite summer libation?
