A few weeks ago, I went to a fancy-schmancy work event at Saks where I got to drink champagne and get a makeover at one of the beauty department counters. It was awesome–a super-fun night of pampering; the makeup artists really spent a lot of time with us–and although the beauty products weren’t for me, I got some valuable tips.
One of them being: Wash your face after you wash your hair in the shower.
It makes so much sense, right? When you wash your face in the shower, you usually do it first, yes? (I do.) Well, if you wash your hair after you wash your face, anything grimy that you’re rinsing out of your locks is running down your face and negating the cleansing you’ve already done. So wash your face after you’re done with your hair to avoid that. Smart, right? (I’m resisting a “put your best face forward” pun here.)
What do you think? Would you try it? I’ve been trying to remember to, and on the mornings that I do, I feel oddly proud. I’m not sure if it’s making a difference in my skin, but like I said, I’ll try anything to avoid irritating it.
