I’m starting to hear people who live up north talk about how summer is winding down, and how they’re looking forward to fall weather–but here in Florida, we have another two (maybe three) solid months of summer-like temps (we’re talking 85-degrees plus). In fact, I actually said to someone the other day, “I would give anything for it to be cool enough for a light summer sweater right now. All I want is to wear a sweater and shorts!” (Apparently that is my ideal summer outfit; who knew?)
So, with that in mind, I put together a little imaginary weekend outfit as we hit August’s halfway point: an easy sweater that actually is light enough to wear here, perfect denim cut-offs, the gold sandals of my dreams and some cute accessories to pull the whole look together. Oh, and the best book I’ve read in a long while, perfect for getting lost in while lounging on the grass in the park or–my preference–relaxing by the lake.
Happy mid-August, friends. Wishing you many relaxing weekends with light summer sweaters. xoxo
