Happy Friday, friends! It’s been a long, strange week–one that began with an insane flight delay after our glorious trip up north and that was pierced by the shocking news from Charleston. (I’m so sad for that city and its people; Charleston is one of my favorite places I’ve ever visited.) Needless to say, I’m really glad it’s Friday and am looking forward to a few days of getting back into my normal routine here.

What are your plans for the weekend? Are you celebrating Father’s Day? (I got to see my dad earlier this week so we had a wee celebration then.) Tell me what you’re up to and I’ll see you back here next week–oh, and of course, here are 15 fun links for your reading pleasure.

My dad is a huge Star Trek fan, so we got him a Tribble for Father’s Day.

Quietly moved by this poem.

A great guide to Orlando. (No theme parks included.)

Mindy Kaling is the best.

Related: I’m excited to see Inside Out.

Two weeks of status updates from your vague friend on Facebook. Made me laugh.

These blondies just shot to the top of my “must-bake” list. (Four teaspoons of vanilla? Yes, please.)

Speaking of Yes PleaseI just read it (finally) and it was great. Amy Poehler is smart and funny.

Have been thinking about buying this agenda for two weeks. I should just do it.

But then there’s these beauties from Rifle Paper Co., too…

A little guide to Dublin (dying to go there).

I appreciate Jim Carrey so much more after watching him on Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.

This podcast sounds awesome. (via Cup of Jo)

These plates are so beautiful.

Sweet wedding portraits.

And finally, in the aftermath of the heartbreaking shootings in Charleston, the first and last lines of this essay ring especially–painfully–true once again.

Have a wonderful weekend…hug your loved ones. xoxo
