Awhile back, my lovely aesthetician, Renata, recommended that I use witch hazel as a toner after washing my face at night. I got into the routine for a bit, but fell out of it when my bottle of witch hazel ran out.
Then, the other day, I read Emily’s post about Thayer’s organic rose petal witch hazel and–Renata’s advice in mind–ran to Whole Foods one day after work to grab myself a bottle. I’ll be honest: The combination of the words “rose petal” and the pretty package design are initially what drew me to this particular brand, but after a couple of weeks, I’ve come to realize that it’s a really good product, too. The witch hazel is organic and the toner contains aloe vera and is alcohol-free, which means my skin isn’t stripped of its natural moisture (always a plus). And you guys, the scent is amazing–this stuff really smells like rose petals. I only use a little bit on a cotton ball, and it soaks up little bit of makeup that my cleanser doesn’t get. Highly, highly recommend.
Do you all have any new favorite beauty products you’ve tried lately? I’d love to hear about them.
