2014 HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE!

Pink O'Clock holiday gift guide

Pink O'Clock holiday gift guide

I know I say this every year, but I both love and loathe gift guides. Love because they’re fun to put together–I really-truly enjoy thinking about what kinds of gifts the people in my life might like–but loathe because, if not done right, they promote a kind of rampant materialism that I’m uncomfortable with (seriously, how many of these things are just so bloggers can make a commission off an affiliate link?).

Once again, though, love won out, so I’ve put together a little round-up of presents based on my own friends and family members, all of whom have widely differing personalities and tastes. Each of these items is something I would absolutely give to one of them.

Coming up tomorrow, I’ll share my own dream Christmas list–things that I’ve bookmarked or pinned or favorited that I wouldn’t mind finding under the tree. I’ll also share some favorite cookie recipes and other holiday-y things over the coming weeks, too.

Until then, though, here’s the Pink O’Clock 2014 Holiday Gift guide. I hope you love it!

For your aunt, whose collection of beauty products you’ve always loved rifling through: One Love Organics’ Merry + Bright gift set. ($85)

For the food-enthusiast in your life: a Cheese of the Month club membership from Artisan Cheese Company. (From $150)

For your boyfriend, who uses his things for years and always values something classic over something of-the-moment: this gorgeous Makr wallet in bark. ($185)

For your mom, who recently renovated her kitchen and is still accessorizing: a beautiful Piano Nobile cutting board and napkins. ($130)

For your cat-loving bestie, with whom you trade pictures of your felines: a pretty gold and white kitty cat ring dish from Catbird NYC. ($22)

For your coffee-loving sister-in-law, who loves a strong cuppa: A Chemex coffee pot and/or Hario kettle (industry-expert approved). ($43 and $62, respectively)

For the sweet dog you rescued earlier this year, just because he shouldn’t be left out: Stylish pet bowls for his food and water. ($59)

For your dad, who’s obsessed–and always has been–with all things Star Trek: Starfleet Academy license plate frame for his new car. ($20)

For your brother, who’s overseas and could use something nice to store his stuff: A classic J.Crew dopp kit.($58)

For your fitness-obsessed friend: A class (or class pack) to Pure Barre, so you can work out together ($20 and up).

For your friend the consummate hostess, who always makes up the guest bedroom so nicely when you come to visit: best-smelling Extra Pur bar soap set from Compagnie de Provence. ($20)

For your fashionista friend, who has the best clothing collection: This beautiful Ace & Jig top ($180).

And finally, for your friend who just announced she’s having a baby: a sweet striped onesie to start off her collection ($29.50).

P.S. The 2013 and 2012 Pink O’Clock holiday gift guides, which I still totally stand by.
