Well, friends, yesterday Ina Garten replied to one of my tweets and I can now basically die happy. She was hosting a Twitter chat to promote her new cookbook, and I asked her what her three favorite kitchen tools are. Her reply? Verbatim, it was: “Rasp for zesting lemons and oranges, sharp knives and half sheet pans!” (Eeeeeee! And, happily, I have all of those things.)
What are your plans for the weekend? I’ve got two Halloween parties on the books and my Progressive girl/Flo costume is coming together nicely. Plus, the weather’s supposed to be beautiful this weekend (low 80s during the day, 60s at night), so here’s hoping for some outdoor time as well.
Oh, and if you’re in the mood for some reading, here you go:
A beautiful and honest post about going through a breakup. Caroline’s blog is a treat.
This shrimp and feta dish sounds so tasty (and easy to make!).
Also, a recipe for pumpkin French toast that looks amazing.
I have the delightful (FYI: that’s sarcasm) tendency to work myself up over every single thing, so Emily’s five tips for dealing with anxiety were a helpful read (even though, of course, every person’s situation is different).
I’m ordering a gold leaf kit to replicate this fantastic DIY immediately.
Yes, I’m still obsessed with Pure Barre, so here’s a helpful list of how to get better results from your barre class.
And finally, if this video of a baby elephant takings it first steps doesn’t make you smile, then…you must be dead inside.
Have a wonderful weekend!
