One Love Organics gardenia daily body serum: Gardenia is one of my very favorite scents–it reminds me of the big bushes my parents have in their backyard that produce gorgeous white flowers every spring; so Southern and feminine–and this serum is lovely. You spray it on right after you get out of the shower and rub it into your slightly damp skin, and it not only softens, it smells wonderful without being too overpowering. And after I tell you this next part, I give you the right to yell at me and call me mean: It’s not available online anymore. (You could still try and pick it up at a local shop near you that carries OLO products, though! Trust me, it’s worth it.)
Bare Minerals bareSkin liquid foundation: I have finicky, sensitive, rosacea-prone skin that I’m keeping under control with a prescription from my dermatologist (cleanser, cream and a pill). And as far as makeup goes, I try to use the least-irritating, most natural products I can find. I’ve used Bare Minerals’ powder foundation for years, but after reading rave reviews about their new liquid foundation, I decided to give it a try. Long story short: I love it. After putting on BM’s tinted primer/BB cream, I apply the foundation as recommended, with a special brush, then add blush and their mineral veil and off I go.
Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Punch: My lips are chronically chapped, so anything that alleviates dryness and cracking is A-OK in my book. This balm smooths and softens, and also adds a hint of baby-pink color, which I’m all for. Plus–no joke–it smells great.
