Well, friends, it has been a week, hasn’t it? I can’t wait to curl up on the couch tonight with R. and Rambo and a glass of wine and a good movie. It’s been rainy here all day, so that is totally helping fuel my hunker-down mentality. And there are no definitive plans for the weekend on the horizon, either, which is extra nice after a super-fun-but super-busy past few weeks.
In the meantime, if you’re looking to do some reading over the next few days, here are a few great links:
This piece–about hitting the reset button in your brain–is a must-read, one I keep coming back to over and over again. It’s also why I’m planning a vacation to visit friends up north this fall, and why I’m going to try my hardest not to feel guilty about spending the money, taking time off from work, leaving R. and Rambo–you know, the stuff that might normally make me decide not to go.
“My Life as a Magnolia Bakery Cupcake Bouncer.” This is awesome. Also, I love cupcakes. (via Cup of Jo)
Speaking of food, on the menu this weekend: This recipe for gouda grits with brown butter shrimp tomorrow night. I’ll report back on the results.
“100 Thoughts I have During Pure Barre.” This is so funny.
Have a great weekend, everyone! xox
