For the past couple of weeks, perhaps due to my 31st birthday next month, I’ve been feeling like I’m trying to clean up my life a little bit. R. and I have been setting some Big Future Goals (like saving for a house!); I’ve been poring over my personal budget, trying to get things in order(the first half of the year was a little bit of a free-for-all); I’ve been trying to get back into a consistent exercise routine and be more intuitive about what I’m eating; and we have actually literally been cleaning our house from top to bottom thanks to R.’s aunt visiting this weekend. It feels good, even though it’s a bit challenging (both the financial organization and, for me, the actual cleaning–ha).
Anyway, if you’re in the mood for some reading (or watching, or listening) this weekend, here are four fun links:
The Wild trailer is out. Can’t wait to see this movie.
This is a cute blog. (Fun fact: The writer is the new editor at Cup of Jo.)
Lately I’ve been listening to Jess Lively’s podcasts while I work. While she can be a bit too…earnest…for my taste (this coming from someone whose personality is regularly described as marshmallow-esque), the people she interviews are always interesting and have thought-provoking things to say.
And finally, how to eliminate negative relationships to create room for inspiring ones. Thought-provoking, for sure.
Whatever you’re up to over the next few days, Rambo (pictured above–that face!) and I wish you all a happy weekend.
