Happy spring and happy weekend, friends. I’ve actually taken today off as a much-needed (in case you couldn’t tell from my last post) mental health day. My mom has been visiting this week, and this weekend I’m heading up to her and my dad’s house to continue the relaxation and also finally meet my best friend Mel’s sweet baby boy (I have a feeling cupcakes will be involved). Also on the menu: A stop at Rifle Paper Co., a stop at East End Market and a long bike ride–that last activity being something I haven’t done in months thanks to the Great Arm Fracture of 2014.
Also on the agenda this weekend: Planning a little getaway with ACS for sometime late this spring or early this summer (Savannah and Charleston, thanks to their close-ish proximity and, hello, their natural beauty, are both high on my list). It’s been more than a year since I took a trip just to take a trip, and I think both of us could really use the break. And when I texted ACS that “too many tabs” picture from Wednesday’s post, he replied with, “You gotta press the restart button!” So I’m going to try and figure out how to do that, because I really need to–I’ve been really grumpy and on-edge and irritable lately, and that’s not my natural personality. More on this to come, for sure, but any advice on pushing reset is definitely welcome.
Hope you all have a fantastic few days, and I’ll see you back here next week. xox
