Hi, guys! Welcome to my new site. Over the weekend I took the plunge and switched from Blogger–which I’d used for five years–to WordPress. It was a little bittersweet, I’m not going to lie, but I use WordPress every day at work so I’m really familiar with it and the design and content flexibility it offers.
I’ve imported all my Blogger posts to the new site, but unfortunately–because I’m using the Disqus comment system–your wonderful comments aren’t showing up, so if you’re like, “Where’d my note go?”, that’s why. Also, it turns out that I’ve written 1,236 posts in my blogging career thus far (!!), but I’m quite certain that not all of them ported over correctly, so if you’re looking for something and can’t find it, let me know and I’ll track it down.
I think the navigation and the way the site works is pretty self explanatory, but here’s a quick rundown:
- At the top in the main nav bar, you’ll find categories I write about most frequently. Click on any of them to browse a particular topic.
- You’ll find the most recent posts, in chronological order, in the main feed.
- In the sidebar, you’ll find a link to my About page (just click on that photo of, um, me), the search bar, my Instagram feed, the five most popular posts on the site on any given day and a link to the Pink O’Clock Facebook page (which I would love for you to “like”).
Of course this is all a total work in progress, but so far I’m really happy with the new site and I hope you like it, too. The new URL is www.pinkoclockblog.com, so please update your feed readers (Feedly, Bloglovin) accordingly. And thanks for all your support over the past five years–I’m looking forward to this new chapter on this new platform!
