File this one under “super creative,” “incredibly beautiful” and, maybe “a tiny bit strange”: Artist Queenie Liao, a freelance artist and mom based in California, decided to photograph her baby son, Wengenn, while he was napping and create these fairytale-like dreamscapes out of clothes, stuffed animals, and other common household items. “Every day, just before Wengenn’s nap, I would imagine him being the main character in one of my favorite [fairytales], and ‘paint’ a background setting with plain clothes, stuffed animals, and other common household materials, just like how an artist would with her paintbrushes,” she says.

Pretty cool, right?

I think I had about word for word the same reaction as you when I saw this!! It’s crazy + beautiful but also… just … I think it’s hard for me. Sleeping is just such an intimate thing. But sleeping babies are beautiful so why the heck not?!

Did you ever see Mila’s Daydreams? http://milasdaydreams.blogspot.com/
The newer posts are crafts, fan art, contests, etc. but she used to do the same thing with her daughter Mila.

I don’t know which artist started it, but I love the concept. So sweet and beautiful.

When I saw this, I immediately starting thinking about if I could do this with my dogs when they nap. Then I realized just how eccentric that was. I so enjoyed these photos.
